Family Photo Shoot

We were able to finally take family photos after not taking any professional ones since our wedding. Mollie Jane did them and she did such an amazing job! Sorry I posted way too many of them but I couldn't pick out which one's were my favorites. But hey at least I didn't post all 200 of them! If you are interested in Mollie Jane you can go to her blog at www.molliejanephotography.blogspot.com or her website at www.molliejanephotography.com

Thanksgiving at Knott's

We had a great Thanksgiving day, and we hope you did too! Here is some of the fun we has at Knott's Berry Farm -
We got to go with Vicki and Mark, and it was so fun getting to hang out with them all day.
Picking Snoopy's nose.
Brooke pretending to be on a ride. How did she know to raise her arms?? Such a smart girl!Meeting snoopy for the first time. She wasn't scared she just didn't understand what it was. Eating our super yummy Turkey dinner. Knott's makes the best Turkey I have ever had!
Brooke really loved eating her first Thanksgiving Meal. She loved the ham and turkey best. I was in heaven at all the desserts that they had. I ate all of these plus two cupcakes...opps!It got really cold at night. Here is Brooke all bundled up and staying warm. A pic with the Hubby. Thanks for the great day babe!
The very cutest couple Mark and Vicki. Thanks for hanging out with us and playing the baby swap so we could go on all the rides. Love you guys!

The REAL update...

I know I just wrote about how Jason got a temporary position in Oxnard and that we would be staying up there for the next few months but we have even better news now! Jason got his own building!!! YEAH!! He is in Rosemead at the Mission facility. I am so happy that he finally has a building and that we know we will not have to move. He started yesterday and I just wanted to let him know how proud I am of him. He is such a stress free, happy, thoughtful, organized, and thorough person. I know he will do a great job in this new building and I can't wait to see how he helps turn it around. I think he is the greatest husband ever, and I honestly have to say the I have the most PERFECT husband on this earth. I know he doesn't think so, but even that makes him more perfect to me. He makes me so happy and he just has the greatest outlook on life all the time. He is my HERO and my role model. I love you babe - Good Luck!!

Brooke turned 8 Months!

This past month has gone by so fast that I can't believe I am already posting this. Brooke has grown so much this past month it is amazing to me! (not really in size but in ability!) She started crawling early on in her 7th month, and soon after she became a baby crawling machine. Then she started to try to pull herself up on things. We have tile on our floor, which I was a little worried about but she seems to do fine. My favorite thing is that she follows me everywhere. It is kind of sad for her though because when I walk back and forth it seems she gets annoyed with having to travel to one place just to end up back where she began when I move again. I also love that little smack sound her hands make on tile as she is coming to get me. She learned how to wave and say hi (thanks to waving at all the people while holding prop 8 signs everyday.) She has finally evolved to liking chunky foods and is loving feeding herself. Her favorite food is cheese. She talk a lot, and kisses herself in the mirror all the time. She loves her toys and can play with them for hours (yes, very nice for me!) She loves it when I read to her because she likes to try to rip the pages of the book. Her hair is finally starting to grow in a little and her face seems to change daily. I can tell she is a very independent, stubborn, sweet, loving, fun seeking little girl. I can't wait to see her personality develop more every week. As of right now, she is teething very badly, and is quite a needy and cranky baby, I just try to remember that teeth are cutting through the flesh in her mouth and I would be cranky too. I hope a tooth comes through soon because it seems that she has been teething forever. Here are some random photos from the fun she has had this past month.
So happy to be nakedLoving the prunes!Just hanging out.Posing for the latest issue of cutest baby in the whole wide world!Love the strawberry Popsicles!

The latest news...

As I am writing this post I am sitting in the tiniest hotel room ever, which is my home for right now. Jason has temporarily stepped in as an Operations Manager (not an Administrator because he hasn't taken his state or federal tests yet.) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Oxnard, CA. So on Monday we moved into an extended stay hotel. I thought it would be better than it really is. However this place is so much smaller than it looked in the photos! The air conditioner/heater makes a weird noise that keeps me up all night, the walls are an obnoxious orange color, the bed and pillows smell like the worst BO from a man that has sweat all over it, the floor is so nasty that it leaves Brooke's knees and feet black after crawling for only a few minutes, there is no oven, the kitchen sink is smaller than the bathroom sink and has no disposal, and it is dirty. Now if you know anything about me it is 1) I am a germ a phobe, and 2) I have to live in a clean and organized home. So after the first night, I went out and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies, glade products and a smell killer called Odor Cide. I did my best with what I had, and I made it a little better after a deep down cleaning and a serious attack on that nasty smell, but it is still so hard to be here. Thank goodness to my rescue Jason said we could take over a guys lease for the next few months, and it would be cheaper and it would be an apartment. I went and looked at it, and it wasn't quite as awesome as I would expect (really dirty!) But after a good cleaning and a visit from Stanley Steamer it should be a lot better than this place. Well that is my rant for now. I guess I should be happy, but I just miss my home so much! I really am a homebody and love to be in a place where I can control the dirty/clean/germ factor. I am so happy to be with Jason though, it is a lot better than just seeing him on the weekends. I could never do that, I just love him too much, and that's why I got married right?

Well there is the update. Here are a few photos from the website of the hotel we are staying at, even though it looks nothing like this. I will have to post some pics that I take of it when I get back home.

Ellen Show!!!

I finally got four tickets to the Ellen show after trying a very long time to get them. So Lana, Lisa, Elise, and myself all went to the Ellen show yesterday! It was so much FUN!! It was such a great atmosphere and you could tell that everybody was so happy to be there. While we were waiting for the show to start they screened everybody (Lisa and I got kicked out of their screening process immediately, I guess we weren't cute enough for them.) But Lana and Elise got to continue through it and Elise has a great story that she has to post on her blog, so look for that. Anyways, the guy from "House" Huge Laurie was the guest, and it was fun to see him. Then they had a game contest (which was what they were screening everybody for, not that we knew that) and they had a giveaway! Yes, we won the best prize ever on Ellen!!! If you watch Ellen you know she does the 12 days of giveaways during Christmas and she gives away some insane gifts so.....we won tickets back to her show during one of the 12 days of giveaways. I am so excited!!! We won another fun day at Ellen and a promise of winning some of the coolest gadgets ever! It was a great day and it was so fun to just get to hang out with the girls. I did miss Brooke who was with Sister Erbe, but it was a needed day out. The show airs on Tuesday November 18th so you need to watch it so you can see us on it, and I will soon be posting about all the fabulous things we win.

Here are the photos of us before the show -
we were practicing our dance moves and spanking each other.Yummy food afterwards!

WE DID IT!

All I have to say is thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the people who put so much time and effort into making sure prop 8 passed and who voted for it! Nothing has been so important to me, than preserving the definition that God gave to marriage. What a blessing it is to live in a country where our vote matters! I am so thankful and happy that it passed!!

Now about the whole Obama ordeal....I don't want to get started, so all I can say is....bummer!

One more thing - Mollie Jane took Halloween photographs of Brooke and I just got some. Look at how cute she is! Mollie is amazing too -

Halloween FuN!

Here is our little strawberryWe were a family of strawberries and Jason was a chocolate covered strawberry but nobody got what he was. Here we are at our ward Halloween Party.Brooke Trunk or Treating. She kept getting this funny look on her face like "you are going to let me pick something out of this bowl and then I can keep it?" She hit the mother load with this one!
Brooke with her buddy Ashton. She was afraid he was going to eat him! (really she just didn't like sitting on the itchy pokey fabric of my trunk.)
Brooke painting her pumpkin.
What she looked like after...I took her to an immediate bath.
Jason's Pumpkin
It was two-faced
My pumpkin
It also had a second side which is the bat side. Here are all our of pumpkins finished. It was really fun painting them instead of carving them. I think we will do it again next year.
On Halloween we took Brooke to the Malloween at Ontario Mills. It was pretty lame because almost everybody was out of candy...

So we decided to take her Trick-or-Treating to a few houses. It was fun and we really enjoyed eating her candy!:) We did give Brooke her very first candy. A blue dum dum sucker.

It was a great Halloween!
