Big Girl Bed

Brooke has officially graduated to a "big girl bed." She loves it and had no problem sleeping in it from the very first time we put her down to sleep. She looks so tiny being in a hugh twin bed, but I also love that it makes her look little! Her crib is still in the same room, so she sometimes still asks to sleep in it. She is getting so big I can't believe where the time has gone! I have been working on her and Preston's new room, so look for a completed room post soon!

First Airplane Ride / Trip to Idaho

Brooke and I decided to take a little trip to see 3 of my sisters and there families up in Idaho. We had a great time, and I miss them already. I was a terrible picture taker while up there, so I completely missed on any pictures of my sister Melanie and her husband and there four kids. Here are some of the fun things we did -

Checking out the airplane before we boarded it. Brooke did such a great job on the plane and it was so much easier than I thought it would be. I got a little sick on the plane due to some major turbulence, a hot airplane, and a guy with super stinky cologne who decided to sit right next to me! I survived though!
Brooke feeling the snow for the first time. She loved it and she loved holding and eating it too!
Brooke walking in the snow for the first time.
My favorite place to eat and my most craved thing. Pregnant or not. The thai food at this restaurant is the most delicious stuff ever! I had to document the deliciousness.
Here I am eating all 3 dishes that I got! I couldn't decided what to get, so I got it all! I had chicken satay, my favorite yellow chicken curry, and a spicy tom yum kai soup that was a little too spicy for me. It was all divine!!
My sweet little Niece River who I hadn't seen in a couple years. She is so sweet and tall!! Love her sweet smile in this picture!
Brooke with her oldest Cousin Brock. She had an immediate attachment to him during the whole trip and called him her "Brockie." So Cute!!! This is after we soaked in the springs at Lava Hot Springs. Another favorite of mine.
Sadly this is the only picture I got with my sisters. My sister Amy is on the right and my sister Katie is right next to me. ( no picture of Melanie :( )We were eating amazing Shrimp Taco's at a place called Bajios. MMM....
Brookie with her little Cousin Warren. This trip was the first time these two got to meet each other.

I took my Niece and Nephews out for a date. I took my little Niece Aubrey to get her nails done at a little posh nail salon for little girls. I had a great time with her, and love the Valentine's theme she did with her nails.
All the boys wanted to go to a burger place called Five Guys Burgers (basically a not as good in-n-out) Here we are before we left for our date.
Eating our food. It is amazing how much 4 boys can eat. I am use to Brookie who won't touch food let alone eat it!
Love them all stuffing there faces! I have the cutest Nephews!!
Then we headed out to get some ice cream! I had a great date night with my four guys and I love them so much! Wish we could live closer!!
It was a great trip! Thanks Amy for being the best hostess ever and for all the fun sister time we got to have. I love and miss you!!

December 2009 & Brooke's 22 months!

Another month has gone by and I again have been neglecting this blog. Here is to catching up -

Brooke is 22 months today! She is at such a fun age and I am enjoying every minute with her. She is into taking care of her babies and stuffed animals. She is always feeding them food, rocking them and kissing them. I love that she has such a nurturing side at such a young age. She loves to cook with me and in her new play kitchen. She love "nanamals" (animals) and talks about them a lot. Her favorite TV show is still Yo Gabba Gabba, and she sings the song "I am so happy" by Foofa. It is so cute. She sings all the time, about all her surroundings and she dances to anything with a beat. She is still very cautious at first with new people and situations but she is getting better. She still doesn't really like other kids her age, especially boys (I can't blame her though they always seem to hit her as soon as they start playing.) Sounds really frighten her, and we get lots of snuggles when airplanes fly overhead. Brooke is super smart and soaks up everything we say to her. She can say pretty much anything she wants to, and she is an excellent talker. We love her so much and enjoy everyday we get to see her grow and develop.

December was a month filled with a lot of sickness for our family. It seemed like one or all of us was sick during the month. Despite our sicknesses we had a great Christmas and really enjoyed the spirit of the the whole season this year. Here is some of our fun from this past month.

Fun time in a Drawer.
Such a cute but cheesy girl!
Date Time - Jason and I got to go on a date to a Lakers Game. We had really good seats and it was an awesome game. I am not a basket ball fan at all. In fact I normally make fun of it when I see it on TV, but this game actually changed my mind quite a bit. The talent is unbelievable and the energy that is in the building is contagious. I definitely got bit by the bug. The Lakers ended up winning I think by 1 point in the end. I had a great date night with my hubby!

CHRISTMAS EVE - We decided to do our big dinner on Christmas Eve so we could just eat the leftovers on Christmas Day. I loved this and think it will become a tradition. After dinner, and after reading the Christmas story from Luke we baked up some cookies for Santa. If you can call this baking:). Brooke saw these "noman" cookies at the store and we just had to get them. Here she is doing all the work.
Opening up PJ's on Christmas Eve. She finally got how to unwrap a present.
So excited for Elmo Slippers!
Christmas Morning. Breakfast of stocking candy! Yum!!
Brooke didn't want to rush through opening presents like I thought she would. Instead she wanted to unwrap one present and play with whatever it was before moving on to the next item. It was a lot of fun!

Just some cute pics from the Wild Animal Park and the Disney Store.
