December 2009 & Brooke's 22 months!

Another month has gone by and I again have been neglecting this blog. Here is to catching up -

Brooke is 22 months today! She is at such a fun age and I am enjoying every minute with her. She is into taking care of her babies and stuffed animals. She is always feeding them food, rocking them and kissing them. I love that she has such a nurturing side at such a young age. She loves to cook with me and in her new play kitchen. She love "nanamals" (animals) and talks about them a lot. Her favorite TV show is still Yo Gabba Gabba, and she sings the song "I am so happy" by Foofa. It is so cute. She sings all the time, about all her surroundings and she dances to anything with a beat. She is still very cautious at first with new people and situations but she is getting better. She still doesn't really like other kids her age, especially boys (I can't blame her though they always seem to hit her as soon as they start playing.) Sounds really frighten her, and we get lots of snuggles when airplanes fly overhead. Brooke is super smart and soaks up everything we say to her. She can say pretty much anything she wants to, and she is an excellent talker. We love her so much and enjoy everyday we get to see her grow and develop.

December was a month filled with a lot of sickness for our family. It seemed like one or all of us was sick during the month. Despite our sicknesses we had a great Christmas and really enjoyed the spirit of the the whole season this year. Here is some of our fun from this past month.

Fun time in a Drawer.
Such a cute but cheesy girl!
Date Time - Jason and I got to go on a date to a Lakers Game. We had really good seats and it was an awesome game. I am not a basket ball fan at all. In fact I normally make fun of it when I see it on TV, but this game actually changed my mind quite a bit. The talent is unbelievable and the energy that is in the building is contagious. I definitely got bit by the bug. The Lakers ended up winning I think by 1 point in the end. I had a great date night with my hubby!

CHRISTMAS EVE - We decided to do our big dinner on Christmas Eve so we could just eat the leftovers on Christmas Day. I loved this and think it will become a tradition. After dinner, and after reading the Christmas story from Luke we baked up some cookies for Santa. If you can call this baking:). Brooke saw these "noman" cookies at the store and we just had to get them. Here she is doing all the work.
Opening up PJ's on Christmas Eve. She finally got how to unwrap a present.
So excited for Elmo Slippers!
Christmas Morning. Breakfast of stocking candy! Yum!!
Brooke didn't want to rush through opening presents like I thought she would. Instead she wanted to unwrap one present and play with whatever it was before moving on to the next item. It was a lot of fun!

Just some cute pics from the Wild Animal Park and the Disney Store.
