October Review Backwards

I thought I posted these pictures in the right order but I did it from Most recent to least recent. Opps! Here are a few fun things we did in the month of October. Photo Overload......

Jason and Brooke on Halloween day at a ride at our local Pumpkin Patch. She normally doesn't like to try new things but she loved this ride!!! We also went to the Cal State fullerton Pumpkin Launch and hung out with the Skidmore's for lunch. Then we went to dinner at Lucille's (mmm..) and skipped the trick or treating and saw This Is It, and Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs at the drive in. It was one great Halloween!

Ward Trunk or Treat. This year Brooke was SUPER tired because we had already been out all day long, but she did pretty good Trunk or Treating. She finally got it that if she said "treat" she would get candy in her bag. She is currently obsessed with the moon, which is what she is staring up at in this picture. We are a Gnome family not Elves. (we got that comment all night long!)

There never was a cuter Garden Gnome in all the world!

We went to our local Pumpkin Patch with our play group. Here is Brooke with the ducks. She loves to make her ducky arms and walk around and say "qack, qack." Just as long as they don't get too close!!
Here she is on the ride again. This was actually her first time on it and she kept saying "fun, fun, fun" during the whole ride. So CUTE!

Exploring the pumkins. She calls them "pumpins" which is now how the whole family says it. She loves her "pumpins" and has even been sleeping with a little miniature one at night.
The bounce house. This was Brooke's first attempt at this. She did okay at first but the older kids who were bouncing around her made her start to be hesitant and she started to cry. She never did actually stand up and bounce.
This is how the first part of our pumpkin patch experience went. If you know Brooke at all you know she is an extremely cautious little girl who doesn't like new textures or some new situations. This hay is one of them, as well as the bounce house and slide that were there. Oh well.. maybe next year??
We started a tradition of painting our pumpkins since the kids are never really able to carve them themselves until they are older. Can you guess who did which pumpkin?
Brooke painting away. She loves to paint and color. She could do them all day long!

At the beginning of October I was lucky enough to go to Time out for Women with some awesome friends and one super awesome sister in law. Here Vicki and I are with Kenneth Cope. He is my FAVORITE male singer in all the world.
This is a terrible picture of us. But it is the best of the two I took. Here I am with April, Lana, and Andrea. I had a great day with you guys!!
It was such an uplifting and edifying day. We all had a great time. Hope to go again next year.

I bet it really was Shane that liked your costumes, I mean c'mon who doesn't love a family of gnomes! The costumes really were awesome.

Next year we are actually going to make it to the pumpkin launch on time and spend the whole morning hanging out with you guys instead of just lunch afterward.

And, I stole your TOFW picture of the 4 of us. Thanks again for the invite, it was so fun to hang out for the day.
